KIDS ARE NOT IN A GOOD PLACE. They feel disconnected, lonely and misunderstood. They want to be part of something bigger than themselves but they have no idea what that is, nor how to find it. So they blindly take stabs in the dark at everything, which leaves them empty and cynical. Mental health is at a critical level with kids.
ADULTS ARE AWARE OF THESE NEEDS, but aren’t sure how to address them. That’s why OUR VISION is starting to gain some serious traction. We have shared it in many circles to all kinds of people, from business owners to parents to retirees. HERE IT IS: “Create a warm and welcoming place for every kid that provides belonging, recreational space and a strong connection to faith.”
Add into the equation caring adults who love kids and are willing to spend time with them, transformation is bound to happen. There is a gravitational pull inside every adolescent toward places like this, whether it’s a home, church, or a school. Youth expert Chap Clark says, “Kids gravitate towards the oldest person in their lives who truly care for them.”
As we have shared this vision, we have heard it over and over again. “This is going to have such a huge impact on kids in our area!” It sure is and we couldn’t be more excited about it.
